Help with eBooks

Welcome to Libby from OVerDrive: our new eBook and eAudiobook lending platform.

Discover new content, borrow your favorites, and save future reads with the Libby app. You can read or listen to eBooks and eAudiobooks on the go, at home, or in the Library!

BCCLS and the Emerson Public Library now offer thousands of popular eBooks through the Libby app with OverDrive digital lending platform. Offered at no cost to residents of any of the 76 BCCLS towns, all that’s needed to get started is a valid Library card.

Our Library’s eBook and eAudiobook collection includes popular titles from Liane Moriarty, John Grisham and many more. New titles will be added to our digital collection weekly.

Simple steps to get started:

The Libby app is a new, streamlined way to borrow digital books  and audiobooks from your library.
This free app, created by OverDrive, is available for Android, iOS  (iPhone/iPad/iPod touch), Windows 10 devices.
1-Install the Libby app from your device’s app store.
2-Open the app and find your library. You can search by library name, city, or zip code.
3-Browse your library’s collection and borrow a title. When prompted, sign in.  You’ll need a valid library card to complete this step.
4-Borrowed titles appear on your Shelf and download to the app automatically  so you can read them when you’re offline.
From your Shelf, you can:
• Tap Start Reading or Start Listening to open a title.
• Tap the cover image, then Send to Device to send a book to Kindle.

The easy-to-use interface makes it simple to download titles, save reads for later, and even sync activity across multiple devices. Check out up to 5 titles at one time and keep them for up to 14 days. Items simply disappear when the due date arrives so there are no late fines.

You can also search for, borrow, and manage eBooks right from by logging in using your Library Card # or Username and Password/Pin. Titles will then be automatically delivered to your Overdrive/Libby app.

OverDrive/Libby is compatible with the following devices:

  • iPad
  • iPhone
